Hi folks.
Just been in touch with Pirelli who tell me that the P4000 type 15" rim tyre is discontinued. DOes anyone know where to get a good speed rated tyre for a stock C2/C3 rim?
The best I am looking at is T rated - hardly good enough for an autobahn blast on original rims.

One of the reasons I moved to a larger diameter wheel, in saying that I do have a full set of P4000's with 1000 miles on them in the shed, the downside is they have been there for 6 years.

I upgraded to bigger 18 inch rims and upto date tyres, reason I did that was I had a front tyre blow out at 70 mph on the motorway, no reason, it just went, that was 1 year old cooper cobra tyre on the 15 inch factory rims

Thanks guys - the problem is that the car is in dubai. I didn't want to have to go with t rated tyres for the fear set out above - that it may blow out and the car has a 383 with dart heads- its not slow... Oh well I may have to make do with crap tyres as I wanted to keep the original look. I have @4000s on the 68 427 - I am surprised noone in the states makes a decent speed rated tyre for a 15 rim given the number of 70s and 80s quick cars there..
