So say you have a job but have every Friday off and some spare cash to start up some sort of business, what can be done?

The other 4 midweek days are off limits to phone calls, posting out goods ect so selling stuff on eBay is not possible as there would be a big delay posting items.

Just wanted a few ideas.

Whatever you do the other 4 days, but freelance for another firm.

Sort of looking at this myself and every idea so far hits a bit of a snag, either financially or competitive wise.
There must be a way out there

If you want to sell on Ebay just make sure that your sales info says despatch time 7 days and write it on your sales pitch. also time your auctions so they end two to three days before your posting day, this gives your customers time to realise they've won the auction and arrange payment.

There's loads of items that have specific posting days, providing you're upfront with your potential buyers then they can't complain if their purchase takes a little longer to arrive. Also consider offering 'free' postage so that you won't get low DSR stars for what may be regarded as slow despatch.

Or as BoRED S2upid has said do a market or boot sale Friday Saturday and Sunday. Most sales are half days so you get some time off to do other things.

Yes, seems good as eBay could be awkward if you're not around on the other days.

As a previous poster said, they tend to pack up early so come 3 o'clock you can be off to re-stock. Your friendly council's website might have some handy information.

Waste of time, you will still get eBay knob heads asking where their item is the following day they have paid for it !
those customers will give you low DSR ratings on your dispatch time, that can lead to eBay restricting items you can sell..
and eBay will give you zero support.
