At the Pageant of Power today I saw the funniest sight of the weekend..... One of the pit girls appeared to have been offered a ride in the BMW "Brutus" on one of its hillclimb runs and I dont think she quite realised what she was in for.. As the car came past where we were watching, she was white as a sheet, looked absolutely scared stiff and was clutching the side of the cockpit with both hands, so tightly im surprised she didnt break it off Mind you, if youre the average 20-something girl used to little hatchbacks then i suppose an enormous road racer with a 47 litre bmw engine belching flames out of stub exhausts, wooden wheels, rear axle only brakes and a doped fabric skin instead of bodywork... well I suppose it would be a bit of a shock. I on the other hand would have killed for a ride in such a fantastically mad contraption. Stick to your Fiesta, luv

That's a heck of a lot of torque to be trying to put through 2 inch wide tyres in the pissing rain! Think I'd have been a touch perturbed too

So. Girl gets offered passenger ride in a car that would scare most sane people, and she looks terrified. Can you honestly say that it would not scare you ?.

If I was the OP I wouldn't know in what context to take your comment. To me it comes off like you are challenging the OP's opinion/observation. As if you need to question whether or not he too would be s tting his pants if he were the passenger. Of course he would be scared. I think anyone would. I know I would be. Regardless of the fact the driver is a professional or not, its much too risky imho to go along for the ride. Anything could happen and the car could and its occupants could find themselves spinning off course and flipping into a ditch, or worse veer off a mountainside or plow into spectators. Some risks are better left alone. But I bet it was downright comical to see her face! Haha

Reminds me of the "Supra girl" (Youtube it). Same thing but you also get a nice little surprise.
