Why so many interviews? Are you useless?
HahaDecided to get my arse into gear and find a job....
My CV seems to pass the test even though I've not applied for many, that and getting at-least 3 stages for each. Have just handed in my notice today though so can't foresee any more and just have a decision between jobs to make (1 offered but one pending about which I'm fairly certain)
Rode in to work for the first time today. It’s 9.6 miles and averaged 14.6 MPH so took around 40 minutes. Looking forward to seeing myself improve and hopefully bring it down to around 30 minutes.
Lovely morning here in Edinburgh though, so the perfect conditions hopefully haven’t contributed to too high a benchmark!

Rode in this morning on my 'new' bike.
I normally ride a heavy, folding Dahon Matrix, but recently bought a Triban 3 SH. Got up early to go on a train that allows non-folding bikes and did 13.6 miles at an average of just over 15mph.
It's a good 3mph more as an average speed than my other commuter. I did seem to hit more lights though.

Nice ride in today - somebody did take a bit of a friendly exception to me drafting them along the Jamaica road though!
Bit of a headwind coming in and tired legs and lots of lights = fairly slow time
Got the new PH top for the ride back so here's hoping I don't look like a slow wobbling fool!

Tailwind + catching all the lights on green + quiet school holiday roads = 20mph average in to work this morning. First in to the office!
Bike feels much better now I've taken all the winter gubbins off as well. Love riding a "clean" bike. Ordered a new set of transmission bits at weekend, hopefully should come in time for easter weekend so I can get the allen keys out.

Very nice ride back tonight but with one curious incident. I was nearly sideswiped down by Blackfriars station by a bloke in full winter gear (for me anyway) who had his helmet on back to front. It was one of those urban MTB syle ones. Maybe he didn't read the instructions, wanted the teardrop aero effect or felt like looking like robocop or something. All ire dissolved once I'd seen what the guy was wearing anyway.
It was kinda like this:

Good Morning!
Today I did the Carshalton to Chiswick commute on my single speed.
(Disclaimer - I'm not aHipster Fixie dhead Dipster Hixie Fickhead - it's just an old racer someone gave me, that I took the gears off because they were broken.)
Anyway, it was a little tougher than normal, it seemed that I had more red lights (or "Mini-Hill-Reps" as I call them) but enjoyed the simplicity of it. I reckon its very slightly down hill all the way, so the ride home will be hard .
Nice sunny day though!

First one back today, after a long (too long) winter break.
As you might expect, painfully slow, maxxed out heart rate on the climbs, puffing and blowing like a broken steam engine.
Need a few more trips in before I can see an improvement (it's a hilly 20 miles)
I reckon I am about 7kg heavier than when I stopped biking in late September.... so could be two months before I am in any kind of shape.
