After the blur of commutes in September I have plummeted to about 1 a week in October. This week it's today.

Although I have been called into the office tomorrow so may take the opportunity to double my tally for the week.

FWIW hated the headwind this morning and had forgotten how slimy the roads become at this time of year.

I was running late this morning and found the front totally flat - hoping it's just that the patch from the latest repair has failed. Didn't have time to change it so jumped on the tube for the first dry day this week. Annoyed.
Same happened to me yesterday except I decided to change the tube in a rush. Punctured the new tube. Twice.

Great ride in today after dropping the car off in Beaconsfield to get its front brakes fettled.

Should've been about 3 miles shorter because of that, but I ended up getting lost in black hole that exists to the North East of Slough between the M40 and M25. As it was such a nice day I didn't really mind doing the full 14 miles that I'd normally do though.

Ass Saver worked great too. Barely a drop made it past the thing smile

I've just been given an Ass Saver. I'll try it out.

My Garmin 510 is refusing to talk to my computer. Phoned up Garmin and it looks like I will need a replacement. Luckily it is under warranty.

Great run in this morning - dry, bright, warm.

The rear disc on my 29er started binding on the way home last night so this morning I had an excuse to use my 26er. Which I love riding through London traffic. In fact I prefer it.....

So now over the weekend I'll have to see if one of the pistons is sticking. The beauty of discs is that I've managed 8 months and 1200+ miles with zero maintenance. Now it's payback time. *sigh*

First ride this week and first one since fitting some Raceblades. Bit fiddly to get them set-up and I stopped a couple of times to stop them rubbing.

Wasn't feeling particularly energetic and wasn't sure if I'm coming down with whatever my wife has had... got to work and noticed I'd knocked the rear brake so it was dragging on the wheel. Sigh.

Sitting in the office minding my own business. BANG, the rear tube explodes yikes

Ah well, better that it happens then rather than when I'm out on a ride smile

Took longer on the way home, head wind, loving it though.

Thursday night I was held up until after seven training a new guy and the ride home was pleasant, little traffic and everyone was considerate and passed me safely.

Last night I left at the usual half six-ish and it was as if every other driver was on crack! As well as the usual commuters who desperately have to be home in time for the One Show it was Friday night so they had their "Weekend blinkers" on and I could have punched most of them.

Cycled in this morning. Dry and bright. But rear disc dragging....grrrrr

Now need to learn the art of maintaining/adjusting disc brakes.

Ouch - bike handling skills be praised! Some people do concern me.

First ride of any description for 9 days this morning. Felt like it too.
