Good 22km commute today. Started in the dark with headtorch (front and rear lights as I use a the Bristol-Bath cyclepath) and had dawn breaking behind me. Nice steady pace of just inside 7mins/mile (running). Plenty of cyclists at the Bristol end, plus a few other runners at the Bath end. The obligatory walker dressed in all black with no reflective bits or torch too rolleyes

Really don't understand the flashing bright front lights used by some other commuters - they don't light the path, they're dazzling and make it very hard for others to judge the distance to the rider. They might be seen, but they're not helping others avoid them.

Chillier than expected due to the damp conditions and slight wind.

Another cool, damp air commute this morning. Softshell jacket, knee warmers and long socks.

Nice and quiet on the roads for most of the 27Km.

Another lovely run in, apart from the run-over pedestrian at Higher Denham which closed the road. The Police were good enough to let me through. Hope he/she is all right frown

If I cycle in it usually takes 40-45 minutes, but this morning taking the car for a service it actually took longer even though the journey was shorter. When I left home it was in bright sunshine but by the time I got to the garage there was thick fog everywhere - made the half a dozen mile ride to the office interesting with no lights.

First ride in after 2 and abit weeks in California, it felt bloody freezing!

It looks like a nice afternoon to take the long way home though!

Coldest morning yet, but excellent sunrise and mist over the countryside. Still shorts/t-shirt/jacket weather as well.

A gentle ride in this morning. It was a bit nippy at around 3 DegC.

Cold and tired this morning for my commute. The winter drop-off hasn't started yet in the number of other users of the Bristol-Bath path; still plenty of riders at 7am.

I'd forgotten how I struggle to stay warm for the day after having ridden to work at this time of year. I get warm on the way in then I'm chilly all day! Brrr.

Chilly in Cheshire so I succumbed to full finger gloves but I'm still in shorts and short sleeve jersey (long sleeve base layer though).

PR over Warburton Bridge though biggrin

Flippin cold this morning! Figured (incorrectly) that I could get away with short fingered gloves for another day...

First day with some Under Armour ColdGear leggings on under my bib shorts this morning along with a winter jersey and some thicker gloves. All felt neccessary sadly. The number of cyclists here does appear to have dropped off already. Almost down to just the faces i was seeing last December when i started. I suspect once the clocks go back they will all be back in their cars.

Bit chilly to start off with but still in shorts, had jacket off about 3 miles in and was a lovely ride for the rest of it 😀
