I have just fitted a new battery to my car and cannot believe what an awful design it is having bunches of wires and relays and a metal ECU sitting on top of the battery. Has anyone come up with an easy fix for this terrible mess?

I'm moving mine (as well as the battery) as I fried my old ECU a couple of years ago when the padding slipped out from between the ecu and battery terminal!

DO be carefull when moving it about and make sure it's well insulated!

some relocate the battery to the boot, or the fusebox to behind the passenger seat.

relatively easy, but time consuming to do though.

i use a slim red top battery, which takes half the batery box, and i slipped the ECU in there, which does help with the wiring nightmare

My ECU Slots in vertically in front of the battery, since I have a battery cut off switch on top of the battery. Also have a hot start kit fitted. All the loose wiring relays and all are tucked away along the side of the battery. Not ideal but out of sight, out of mind.
