Does anyone know how this is held on the windscreen? Double sided tape? Mine is wobbly but don't want to pull it off 'til I know what I'm faced with. Thanks.

JC.. Thanks for this. Is the metal clip stuck to the windscreen with double sided tape then? Think they use a special glue .. I have one from my car ,thought it looked to big so found a smaller one from the scrap yard ,just fitted back in to the original fixing bracket on the screen

I have some "proper" double sided sticky pads I scrounged from a windscreen fitter, can pop one in the post if you PM me your address.

As has already been said the mirror is from a Peugeot 205, I'd be quite surprised if the bit that actually mounts to the screen is loose, it's much more likely to be part of the clip. You probably need part No: 814954 from your local Peugeot dealer. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PEUGEOT-205-GTI-INTERIOR...This bit has a habbit of breaking if you catch it wrong, I think it comes with the bit that mounts to the screen as well anyway if bought from the dealer for a whopping £4.99

A gentle easing of the mirror upwards and off it comes, leaving the piece that mounts to the screen securely in place. It is the little plastic bit which is sligtly broken (one of the vertical flanges within is missing) so I guess this causes the wobble. A new one of these should do the trick. Thanks also to Phillpot but I won't need the extra strong double sided tape it seems.

You might be able to take the wobble out by sticking a small square of masking tape over the mounting bracket and then slide the mirror over it.
