Black bezel with metal bracelet. I love the co-axial escapement movement - I preferred the Speedmaster design, I couldn't stretch to the co-axial version of that (Currently drooling over the Speedmaster Co-Axial Split-Second thou)...

How many cars do they visualise on this trip? 10-20 would be great but I don't know if they have an expectation. I assume the more there are the more the marketing and PR value. The ideal would have been to go to the SIHH in January but there would probably be too much snow at that time of year (although to be fair the Swiss are very good at keeping major roads clear).

I suppose you can afford to take extra baggage now that you have saved 11kg on the car

Always felt it's too big. Is there any watch you would consider swapping your entire collection for? I think I'd sell a lot of things I own for a Richard Mille

I think I'd sell a lot of things I own for a Richard Mille I take the Monaco with me as it's appropriate to the event! The Panerai is bigger, but such a beautiful design means it's first thing you notice rather than the size. One watch for my whole collection... No, the very complicated/very expensive/very limited market does not interest me. Much like cars are there to be driven, watches must be worn. I would consider trading many of them for a Paul Newman Daytona. Prices these days may mean it would be most of the collection actually!

If you gents are looking for something to do in the area around the dates you are looking at then there are a few car based events that may be of interest... 15th-16th September www.marchairuz-historique.ch A 5.4km competitive hill-climb event that uses the pass over the Jura mountains that links Lac de Geneve with Le Sentier and the Lac de Joux 6th October http://www.british-cars.ch/index_a.html [British Cars - Morges] An extremely informal / drop-in / leave at will gathering of up to 1,500 British cars along the lake shore. 13th October http://www.vccsr.ch/?q=node/288 [Sortie des Marrons] More details will be available on this website nearer the date but some nice old metal will be taking part. You should find some clips of previous events on Youtube etc.

Thanks for the information. They sound like great events. The actual dates will to some extent be dictated by the manufacture but we can hope they may coincide.
