Hello - new poster here and total car novice!
I have a 4 year old CRV and I think I need some new breaks. I hired a car recently and I now realise my breaks might not be that great! When I had my MOT a few weeks back they said they were OK and I should get them checked soon - that was with a dealer.
So my questions are:
- should I go back to the Honda dealer to get them to do it
- if not, what's a good place that specialises in breaks
- how much does it cost to replace breaks, ballpark.

Has the brake fluid ever been changed? I'd get a quote from Honda if you just need fluid + pads. If you need discs it might be worth getting a quote then comparing with an independent (they might quote big money). How many miles has it done?
