I am an Audi fanboy and need to replace my wifes VW Touran. Long story, but the Touran is a pain in the back side.
Obviously, first choice is an Audi A4 or A6, but i have recently circum to the power of the Volvo.
The D5 V70s seem to go on forever (private ads with 275k miles!!) and are decent money with vast load carrying capacity, comfort and saftey.

I am used to obtaining 50 - 55 mpg from my Audi A4 1.9tdi (130bhp, 52 registered)and even the Touran returns low 50 mpg.

What should i expect from a V70 D5? Should i consider the auto or manual and how much difference does that make to the mpg?

I am looking at V70s around 52 plate to 55/06 plate. What options should i look for? Winter pack seems to crop up from time to time.

Search this forum and you will see this question posed previously and well covered.

Expect similar MPG if you do not always abuse it.
