hi guys, once again Newtown Motors in Cwmbran are holding a Motorsport evening on august 9th 2012.
the Forresters Car Club will be attending with a variety of rally cars , go karts, etc.
the new Astra VXR GTC will be here, also a formula 1 car.
the new Morgan Plus 8 will be on display,
a Ferrari California will also be attending
for a £5 donation to charity we will be giving passenger rides in the Morgan 3 wheeler ,
any phers who want to display their vehicles, drop peter an email at info@newtown-motors.co.uk
all welcome, so bring your cars along for a fun evening.

I should be able to make it should be a good evening can you show any car or just racing orrianted
we will be giving priority to race cars and high performance cars, but as its a summer evening this year, the car parking areas will be as busy as the showrooms !people always turn up in interesting cars , thats what we are aiming for .

If the simulator is like the one at Weston then it is fab. You get on a rig with a driver seat with two passenger seats eiither side of you (they are slightly behind you). Steering wheel is in front of you, pedals on floor where you would expect in a car. Flappy gear paddle (I was told this was inactive). The screen was big. The bucket seat is not the largest, so those on the portly side may need to breath in to get in it. There wasn't a cockpit, everyone watching you could see all your mistakes nice and clear 
The whole rig lifts up once you sit in the seat and it moves around a lot as you drive around the circuit. As a driver, you don't really notice this but the passengers do! The noise was great, the braking was harsh.
It was great fun and I was actually sweating when the car came to a halt.
Of course, it may not be the same as the one in Weston, in which case I apologise for getting your hopes up
