This is the first time this engine has breathed air. There is more work to be done with regard to the final tune of the 354 Hemi. The engine will eventually run Nitro at around 40 to 60% in cacklefest mode but has been designed to run up to 90%. This start up and a few more this weekend at Dragstalgia will be methanol until we make sure everything is working okay. Before anyone posts, we are aware that Sydney Allard never ran nitromethane through the original engine, only methanol. Few have tried to run this Potvin front mounted blower set up on the hard stuff, and most are no longer with us. The problem with front mounted Potvin's is the distance the fuel has to travel to reach the cylinders and getting egual distribution to each. There is obvious things we could do, but the car must maintain it's original profile. With the expertise we have in our team there is no doubt that we will overcome the problems. It can only be a true cacklefest Hemi if the engine run's nitro. The team has a lot more work to do on the chassis, paintwork, chroming, clutch, and general a tidy up before she is truly restored to her original condition.

Yes, huge thanks to Brian, without his enthusiasm and drive I doubt this very important project would have got off the ground.
This car was the beginning of British and you could even say European Dragracing.
