I hope it's going to be better than two years ago, it was the worst TV coverage of any race meeting I've ever seen - so bad I complained to MotorsTV about it.

Not the easiest of events to cover though, with 6 grids, 3 races per grid and over 8 miles of track to cover in a few 1 hour programmes.

It wasn't the amount of coverage that was lacking, it was the quality of the production.

Why have they got Columbo presenting the Classic coverage on Motors TV?

Tonights Live Broadcast is a bit! The guests and De Cadenet are good to listen to, but the women, particularly Alex in the studio though nice to look at, is out of her depth at either live tv and has no idea of the history either...
And yes so far it's tantalising glimpses of the cars.

It's criminal that we get glimpses of 250s, GT40s, Daytonas etc and can hear the glorious engine noises but are having to watch 3 old blokes and a token young woman waffle on. Don't get me wrong, the stories are interesting, but there's a time and a place chaps...

I imagine there's a skeleton crew, compared to the 24, perhaps tomorrow for the racing they'll have the track manned better.
It's alright but I do hope the rest of the weekend broadcasting isn't too much De Cadenet and guests

I gave up after A D-C asked the studio guest (I didn't catch his name but bound to be someone I should know) about the finish of the '66 24hrs and guy said "First let me tell you about the 1965 race.." and started fumbling about for his lost his earpiece. Hopefully today's programme will be better.

My favourite part was when the woman in the pits was interviewing a chap. When he was talking she was holding the mic to her own mouth and when she was talking she was holding it out to him.

Hopefully today's programme will be better. They did that dance about 5 times I think. "Now about that 1966 finish?" "Yes, but let me finish about 1965..." Wouldn't mind getting his book when it's finished though, the "inside track" (no pun intended) of the Shelby Cobra/Ferrari wars will be a great read.

Been watching it on Sky Plus (not finished this interview yet). I don't know much about historical Le Mans, so it is interesting (including this Gordon Chance chap), but the programme in itself is cringeworthy!

Quite possibly on a par with Eurosport's Le Mans show (truly dire). Anyway, on in a couple of minutes on Motors TV so off to see if it has improved any from last night.....

Dear God, it couldn't get much worse.... A D-C doesn't even know who he's interviewing!
