I'm being lazy, and only now putting this up here!

After just over 8 months with the E46, and an ever increasing black hole on things replaced, and the 'needs replacing' list just as large, enough was enough.

Meet the replacement!

I can't remember off hand, but I've got the invoice and paperwork at home. I'll dig it out tonight.

Took me a while to find a manual with the bits I wanted, and by chance it turned up in one of the 2 colours I was after. smile

Looks great.

Pretty much exactly what i'm after next year. Manuals are rare though! Touring manuals are even harder to find.. but it just has to be for me.

You cant be the 330d mega diesel!! I got mine a 56 plate in Feb and love it. The performance compared is great and I love driving it. It keeps up with most things on the road and doesnt cost the earth to run. The prefect compromise for me coming from Imprezas etc. I would have liked a tourer but couldnt find a decent one. Here is mine at Le Mans a couple of weeks ago in the darker corner of our campsite!!

Tell me about it! Took quite a while to secure a manual in M-Sport form with the right options! Ideally I would have liked an LCI for HDD I-Drive and the 245bhp, but prices are still strong.

Well I did previously have a 335d...:P

Looks good. smile
Covered just over 4000 miles and it's returning 46MPG, not too shabby.

Looks really smart OP. Love the difference the kidney grille makes, looks evil with that on!

Fair one on the 335d!! Nice options on yours with it being a manual and having xenons. Two things which were must haves for me. Enjoy.

Thanks smile

My old 335d was silver, so the standard grills actually looked better IMO than the black gloss ones, in sparking graphite however... biggrin

Yep, it took me a while to find an M-Sport E91 in manual form with the options I was after. (Xenons are an essential, leather, and heated seats. I-Drive/Pro Navigation isn't/wasn't a deal breaker)

Finally taken a couple of snaps now I've fitted the carbon interior. It didn't take too long to do, it's just a PITA! Can't say I want to do that again in a hurry!

Are the carbon bits a wrap over the std trim inlays?

I'd been looking for a manual tourer for about a year, but i really wanted a LCI car, and only a couple turned up, both with rubbish spec! Literally no one has bought a manual LCI car ;-)

So, i've just got a 335d instead......... (if i'm denied my self shifter, i'm jolly well gonna have as much poke as possible!)

No, it's the BMW Performance carbon interior, so all the trims are replacement items.

I really hoped to find an LCI tourer, but there were only a few and most seemed to be pre-reg's or ex-BMW cars, so carried a nearly new price tag or were not what I was looking for. The 245bhp engine + economy would have been awesome, but a little too pricey.

I've found the difference to be minimal once rolling between the 330 + 335. I only miss the 35's ability to get you moving with minimal lag. I can't say I miss the increased fuel usage.

How much wonga (£) are we talking about for the trim parts? I think it lifts the otherwise slightly bland interior up a notch! And do they do bits for the door cards too? I had the black ali cube interior in my E46 and i think the E90 cars just look a little plain interior wise.

I agree about the only small difference between the Lci 330d and 335d, i tested both (as auto's) and tbh there is very very little in it (the 35d pulls a little stronger above 4krpm). if i could have found a manual 330d LCI i would have bought that. In fact i still probably will, as the auto box is annoying me after only 3 weeks with the 35d......... (not to mention the crap economy it forces on you)

From BMW, erm LOTS of £'s... Picked mine up from (it was either Singapore or Malaysia) for all the trim, all 4 doors, and all of the dash it was around £700 + delivery I can't remember exactly, and I didn't get hit by customs! smile
Wasn't tough to install, just a proper pain!

If BMW actually bothered to put the DCT box into something other than the coupe, then I'd have one in a heartbeat, but POS auto or 6 speeder... It was a no-brainer, so went for a 330, instead of another 335. I do occasionally miss it when stuck in traffic though!

Just had the rear pads & discs done, and got it aligned.
Should keep me going for a while!

I've taken off the dealer numberplate surround, and removed the model badge.

Nice E91 and the new trim looks amazing.

Hope you don't mind me asking but do you have the old trim and what spec was it? I'm after some new trim for my E91.

There's a lovely LCI 330d manual touring on the trader now, space grey, black leather, xenons.. Don't think much else for around 15k

Looked a bit too cheap to me

No not at all, it came with the aluminium/silver trim.

It's currently boxed up in the garage to swap out if ever I sell the car, although it is a few £ just sitting there.

Does your car have any sort of navigation/I-Drive?
