Upto four inches of rain forecast for Silverstone tomorrow. I was offered a free ticket. But, I declined. No one's going out in free practice in a torrential downpour. I'd rather watch it at home with a cuppa.

Our local water company Veolia Central still think's we're suffering a drought. Weather forecast is for a months rain tomorrow, but we can still not use hosepipes.

It amuses me to watch on TV or listen on the radio to all those people who are trying to prove that the current spell of wet weather confirms their pet theories.

Some of us older buggers can remember when there was snow on the ground for 3 moths solid in the south of England (1962/63), summers just as wet as this if not wetter in 1992, hot summers in 1975 and 1976 amongst others. The list is endless.

No you morons, its not acid rain, its not global warming, its not Judgement Day just around the corner, its just the bleedin' British weather biggrin

had a really big downpour today and it's going to be worse tomorrow morning apparently, just concerned it might turn into the freak hailstorm that was about 30 miles away last week. could do without three written off cars boxedin

The sky's got to run out of rain pretty soon hasn't it? The sea looked almost full when I had a look on the way to work yesterday so we should be in for a dry spell I reckon.

And the drought is about to get worse as well, considering what is approaching from the continent at the mo (check out the rainfall radar on the Met Office site - and fear not, unlike their computer models their radar doesn't lie wink )

It was 103 here today and we haven't had a drop of rain since May. That's very unseasonal. Please send rain.

Shan't.

It's our rain and we're keeping it for the foreseeable future. Say until September. We'll allow someone else to have some then.
