Recently my 2001 S60 2.4T came up with 'transmission service required' on the dash, after checking the ATF, I have to decided to change it for some new Mobil 3309 as it was a nasty brown, but I have not done this yet.

Although I have now notice the engine bay is becoming extremely hot, to the point even the aircon vents in the cabin are getting pretty damn hot.

can this be a related issue?
