Unfortunately it is not a steel body but I have lusted after one of these for about 30 years since I first saw Slick Willy drag race.
Don't want to reveal price until I have collected the car as I was nervous enough going to view it and pay the deposit.
The interior needs a bit of TLC but has got a full cage, vintage autometer instruments and a awesome steering column support. I will get some more pics up asap.
It will need a bit of work on the exhaust as it is on straight pipes at the moment but no hurry to put silencers on yet!
And yes I have seen it, many, many times. "Sleep at Violet Springs"

No, this won was originally pink with purple graphics and built by Phil Moules
Absolutely right. Phil is an old mate of mine, he sold it to another club mate Adam Gosseline and these photos were taken when we drove it to Holland for a meet over there. It was an epic trip as just as we were about to leave we got fuel vaporisation problems and the car would not start. We then spent the next hour sorting it out. We finally decided to remove the bonnet to try and keep it cool. By this time we were late for the ferry so made a mad dash. 140 leptons down the M20 in this thing was just plain made but boy it was fun, but as you can see we made it too the showWillys are just the best

Love it!
Has it got a Black and Decker aquarium pump?
Cant beat a '41, really timeless cars with a great look.
I remember this car from when it was built, did it have a rear wing on it at one point too?
Love the fuel rod steering column holder too.
Hey FT, if you can shed any light or history to it that would be brilliant. Don't know whether it ever had a wing or not. It does have a full cage inside. Do you know who bulit it, I undersatnd it may have coe from the NE area. B & D pump????? Has it got a Black and Decker aquarium pump?

The fuel rod will be one of the first things to be polished to within an inch of it's life as well.
The log book says it is based on a 64 Ford chassis but beyond that it is a mystery.
I cannot afford a real steel bodied one so GRP will do for me.
Sorry, Black and Decker aquarium pump is my favourite line from Hot Rod when he is offered a street race in the bar after arriving in town...
I have a feeling it had a boot mounted modern style wing, the colours are very familiar if it is not the same car.
I have a feeling it was featured in CC and was bought as an unfinished project and completed. The mirrors seem to echo the modern elements the other car I am thinking of had too.
Ill see what I can dig out for you.
