I bet that Abarth sounds fantastic Odd to see one without it's hardtop in place.

In other news I got to pedal a VW UP! for the day thus: Came away quite impressed. Needs a lot of revving to get much progress out of it 5 up, but that's not really the point I guess. More importantly felt like a big "proper" car. Rode well. Was quiet at speed. And felt like a quality bit of kit despite the plastic steering wheel and bum-basic rental spec (and compared very favourably to an Aygo we used to own). On the downside the seatbelt is a long way behind you due to the long doors, and my son managed to kick it more or less constantly - grrrrrr. Perhaps more difficult to learn to live with is you can't see the front end, which makes it difficult to judge where the car ends. In a city car this seemed a bit of a glaring oversight. Given the leasing deals on offer though the UP! seems a bit of a no-brainer.

Cars shmars. I have a bottle of red here that right now in 2012 will be fantastic. However in 2014 it will be sublime. Dilemma
