No, I haven't won the lottery sadly. These machines came out at around the same time and iirc the F40 was a reaction to the Porsche. Which one has aged best? Which is more desirable? I would say the F40 and its relatively basic construction remains a classic but the 959 that was trumpeted as a hyper-advanced sportscar has dated as hyper-advancedness became more commonplace. What say you?

The 288GTO and the 959 were both build for a race series that never happened. The F40 is the 2nd car up the evolutionary ladder from the 288.
Oh and 288 hands down.

'Sports Car International' magazine has the 959 as THE best sportscar of the 80's with the F40 taking 5th place.

Neither thanks, F50 or GT1 are much more to my liking - in which case, F50. I suspect some younger than I will see Enzo and CGT in a similar light.

It has to be the king of pin-ups for me: the F40.

If I won the lottery it would be an F40
Porsche choice would be a recent GT2 RS

I'll have both.
The 959 for everyday duties (it's a 1980s Porsche, so it'll last forever, won't it?) - and an F40 for high days and holidays.
Although I suspect I'd prefer to seek out a 288GTO over an F40.
I must be older than Mr. Zwolf, as I think the F50 is a bit modern and 'blingy' in comparison.

959 every time. The Ferrari does nothing for me, the 959 is probably my favourite supercar.

I think the 959 is rarer than the F40? Not sure about numbers made, but in terms of current visibility?
