Hello all! wavey
Long time reader, first time poster and all that!
Thought I'd start a thread for my new A3. Picked it up two weeks ago, and it feels like a considerable upgrade from the 1.1ltr Saxo I'd owned for 4 years previously. Its the 2.0 turbo, with the DSG box, leather, Bose sound system and a few other toys.
I was originally looking for a Mk5 GTI, but this came up locally at a good price, with a decent spec, so i took the plunge and am very happy.
For me its the perfect car for the commute up the M25 to Uni 4 times a week, and also a bit of country road hooning on the weekends. Probably a bit boring compared to most of the cars on here, but I'm pleased with it. biggrin

Depending on insurance i might look at getting it remapped within the next few months, if anyone has any experience with mapped A3s for a daily driver then any feedback/advice would be great. Apologies for rubbish phone quality pictures.

I like it, but being an OEM fan I'm not keen on the replica wheels, headlights or tints! But that's just me smile

Not a fan of the wheels or lights tbh, but otherwise a very nice car.

A friend has one with the 3.2 - The DSG box is utterly brilliant IMO.

I agree actually, the wheels and headlights were on the car when i got it, will probably end up changing them when i earn some more money! Headlights are growing on me a bit though...

Quite like these, one thing i'd do is change the tailights to facelift spec, the thinner reverse/indicator strip looks a lot better

Really nice little cars (and great value now) but do please lose the headlights; they're very ebay/Halfords/Mcdonalds.

The MY11 rear lights do look a lot nicer! The headlights are quite chavy, i wouldn't of put them on the car myself, but i'm not too fussed about changing them for the time being unless i find some super cheap standard ones on ebay!

Ahmen to that! Not my cup of tea at all, but it does look a nice car, and to buck the trend, I like the wheels too!

Nice, what I was looking for when I bought my mk5 r32.. Though had I bought one, I'm not sure I could have kept it as long as I've had the golf, I'm a bit of a serial changer

Watch the oil consumption. Mine was horrible, though within limits shown in the handbook.
