353mm long batteries do not fit LS3 VXR8

Following on from this thread - due to holidays I only replaced my battery yesterday.
Posting this in case it helps anyone doing a search in the future > despite what the EuroCarParts website and various ebay sellers will tell you - 353mm long batteries (such as the Exide EA1000) will NOT fit in the VXR8 - the battery tray is only about 320mm long and has a corner piece - you'd have to do some surgery to fit a bigger battery than std!
