Plus most of that kit has come from the US (which is vastly cheaper than the UK)
I wondered when you said you have an Armour Bodies fairing - you see these mentioned all the time by US posters on forums - any good?

Sorry for the hijack.

I don't suppose you've got any worn down ones you wanted to chuck away but haven't yet? I would happily pay postage for them for a mate, as it's a bit of a running joke that he's never had his knee down and it would wind him up of I stuck a pair of worn ones on his leathers for a laugh hehe
of course they are for your mate !!!! ;-)

Yup, top stuff. Excellent fit. I've had it nearly 2 years (not crashed it yet) and it's still going strong.

This should be interesting.

Whilst googling for saltire knee sliders and different types I came across this.

I'm st and I done this in a morning.

I thought I'd drag it up as it seemed to be quite funny.

Real reason though is I really want these saltire ones but are they made of butter like these.

O/T Anyone know where i can get patches of leather/velcro to cover the knee slider velcro patches?

I've removed my knee sliders, i'm not going to use them and i have not got a belt sander..

i was pulling a set off to throw and a guy asked what i was doing with them , i said they where finished he peeled his new ones off and said can we swap :-}}}} perfect trade i get a new set and he can pretend he isn't a knob :-}}
I had similar; I was given a seriously crap soft set which I wore through really quickly to the point I damaged my leathers on one side, there was barely any plastic left - a mate sees me about to chuck them and swaps them for his brand new Motrax ones. He looks hilarious riding around with them on his Thundercat with chicken strips a mile wide!

Surely this doesn't happen. No one in their right mind would do that. Who cares

I can assure you I've no reason to lie. I think they came with his leathers, so I don't think he paid for them specifically.

Frank Thomas ones are like concrete they never wear down, although I think they went bust so you probably won't find them. Ixon sliders are pretty solid. A lot harder than alpinestars or dianese ones, no idea where to get them from though.
If in doubt just get some skateboard knee pads. I used to Micheal jackson style knee slide everywhere as a nipper and they never wore out.
