No great suprise, but after 3 Le Mans wins, 5 Sebring wins, 2 ALMS titles with 23 wins and a couple of ELMS wins, Dindo Capello is calling time on a fine prototype career.
He will continue to race GT3 R8s and leaves the #2 e-tron to McNish and Kristensen.
Best of luck Dindo - a great career, and something to look back on and be proud.

Agreed that's a great career. Who's going to take that seat then?!

My money would be on Andre Lotterer, although he does work well with Marcel Fasler + Benoit Trelluyer. I like Dindo, hes cool, calm and rarely makes a mistake, bravo to him.

Im wondering if Marc Gene will move up to the hybrid next season and keep the older guys together. Dont forget they have Timo Bernhard to come back after injury. Sticking with just McNish and Kristensen for the rest of this season.

Plus, I'd prefer them to keep the Lotterer / Fasler / Trelluyer team together as they seem to work well as a unit. Shame to see Dindo hang up his lid though - I always thought, despite him being Italian, he seemed like the calming influence over McNish and Kristensen. Plus it's a bit of a shame that, despite his track record, he doesn't get the recognition that McNish commands.

Yeah, just thought of that. Maybe Audi wont field a 4 car effort next year, maybe just 3 or something freeing up some drivers

Cant lose. Only two Audis at Silverstone this year, Ultra and a E-Tron. McNish and Kristenson in the E-Tron with Fassler, Lotterer and Treluyer in the Ultra.

I don't think they'd break up that team given their successes and the cohesion they seem to have. Interesting times afoot though...

Stick Duval in with the two old guys to help bring him along? In terms of raw pace he is probably the fastest they have?

Surely Jarvis and Bonanomi are the two young Audi guns ready to step up.
Can't imagine TK will relish only two drivers in his car - too many laps for Crasher-McNish to bin it on...

Im surprised we havent seen a return from Alexandre Premat, Audi must have really been pissed off with him, he was very quick in the R10. Just made a mistake by running in the NY marathon instead of rsting after a crash.

Think that goes back to his time in the DTM and his propensity for binning not just his car, but those of his team mate(s).

Alex was sacked... was given time off to recover from a bad crash in Japan... promptly completed the New York marathon (against doctor's orders?) Dr Ulrich was less than impressed
