Are you referring to that piss boiling oxfordshire trait of answering your own questions, yeah?
(grates teeth)

For me, I find people who preface things with daft statements like "i'm not being funny, but" before suggesting something offensive / blatantly rip off, or "we'll I'm not racist, but i mean black people - wtf?" and similar malarky.

However, nothing people say can copete with that god awful "bunny ears" finger thing popular with slackjaws and feckwitts...

I mean people who start a response to anything anyone says with "yeah, no, ...." I think it is indicative of a wimpy anxiety to please, a nervousness of being thought opinionated, similar to that which underlies the rising inflection.

I've noticed that when being interviewed Australian cricketers start every answer by saying 'Aww look' and it annoys me now.

The absolute top teeth-grindingly naff, stupid, massively irritating phrase, to which no others can possibly come close, has got to be "I was like ....", meaning, of course, "I said ....".furiousfuriousfurious
