3200 Accelerator

Anyone experienced loss of power so that when you put your foot down, the car accelerates like it is in treacle and it won't rev over 3,000? Had this happen to me on a recent jaunt abroad.

Solution? Stop the car, turn the ignition on, but don't start the car. Press the accelerator firmly to the floor for 30 seconds, lift off for 30 seconds, to the floor for 30 seconds, lift off for 30 seconds. Restart car, and all is fine again.

Apparently this resets the potentiometer which can get confused!

Scary situation, easily fixed, for free!
