Took the car for MOT and it passed with no advisories so well chuffed.

I had a few very minor troubles in the past year but in total they cost me less than a tenner combined, just my time to sort them out. Had some good runs out(first wedge fest included), 2 track days, many traffic light GP's and lots and lots of very wide grins biggrin.

Looking forward to the next 12 months which I hope will be the same smile

Well done on the MOT pass!

Mine passed with no advisories last September and has always been reliable.

I find the wedge to be a low maintenance car. If you'd got a spitfire/stag/mgb/tr6
type of car you'd constantly be chasing the rust away. There is no bodywork to go rusty
and the tubular steel chassis can easily be repaired. I do about 2,000 miles a year
and have spent nothing on the car in the last 12 months. The stainless exhaust is a
real cost saver and the tyres have been on the car since I had it. I think these
cars have an unfair reputation with regard to reliablity

When you buy a car you are often buying someone else's problems. I've done my outriggers,
my rear drive shaft uj's and re-sprayed the car. Apart from that I've not really spent
any money. Once you get it sorted - keep it and enjoy it. It's one of the most distinctive
sounding cars on the road

Second that, use the cars and keep them well serviced with good quality lubs and the cars run great. Done 8k miles over the last 14 months including a blast to Berlin and back with no problems!

How long did it take you to drive to Berlin?

The thought of a drive to Berlin reminded me of a conversation held at work a few years ago.
We had a visit one day from a Germany lorry driver who was delivering some much needed Tank parts from just out side Berlin. He was your typical German.
He started out by saying what a great truck his Merc was and how it had taken if just over a day to drive to Kent unload and was now on his way home!

A collegue said that's nothing his Father used to go to Berlin, unload and be back home in 8 hours! The Germany could not believe it.

So he had to ask what the vehicle was, which did this great feat!
