Wow.

I'd have thought that comes under the heading of "Learnt his lesson already", if not "Leave the guy alone, he's suffered enough".

It does say that he was dangling fish off the side of the boat though, so he's not being done for feeding his hand to the 'gator which really would be harsh. I guess he's putting other people at risk if he socialises alligators to expect food from boats and humans.

I think it comes under teaching everyone else that carries out this illegal practice a lesson, for when they are lucky enough to keep their hands.

The offence is normally something like "molesting an animal" or similar wording.
they are not allowed to feed or touch the alligators, but they can throw bread in the air for the birds that follow the boats, of course some bread falls into the water and the water movement attracts the alligators.

So he's lost his hand and liberty and I'll bet the job's gone south. That's a hell of a price for a 2nd degree misdemeanor. I'll bet if he'd had a leak in the Everglades, he'd now be facing the lethal injection - only in America LOL.

The worst part is that the gator has an old mechanical clock tick tocking away inside it so every time the guy is near such a clock he goes crazy thinking it is back for the rest of him since it enjoyed the taste of his hand so much.

He might also be in contact with Abu Hamza for prosthetics advice.

So far the people of PH have resisted. You have to hand it to them.
