Anyone going to 911 Driving Day at Silverstone?

I've just had an email through saying I have been invited to attend a 911 Driving Day on 14 Aug. I never applied for it or paid any money but I called the number and I am now booked to have a go! The email said that they got my name through a third party - probably some competition I entered ages ago...

Anyone else had a similar experience?

I went to the 991 launch and Boxster preview earlier this year and have been pestered by the dealer to take a test drive. After many calls from them they put my name forward to Porsche in Reading and I now have an invitation to Silverstone together with my wife for this Friday. Anyone else booked this Friday?

Nice freebie there, I got a free Porsche experience day for free last year, not a bad day out in the end, although some bits a bit boring.

Agreed. The place/experiences are very tame and a little tedious. In my father's words: "mundane".

The invitation stated to drive the new 911 but when I telephoned to comfirm the booking I was asked which car I wished to drive I sais my wife would like to drive the Boxster and as I am a 996tt owner I would like to drive a GT3 It will be interesting to find out what is available.
