I need to get a couple of tyres for my 04 WRX, any recommendations?
Currently got Bridgestone RE040's so thinking either RE050, RE050A (is there much difference) or Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's. Generally prefer to go for a premium tyre and car is just used for road use.

With the amount of wet weather we get in the UK a set of premium tyres that are very good in the wet would be a consideration. Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta - Michelin Pilot Super Sport - Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 - Nokian Z G2 - Hankook S1 EVO2 - Dunlop Sportmaxx RT - Bridgestone RE070 - Toyo R1R.... In no particular order. Read the reviews for yourself.

If it's any help I've recently gone from Sessanta to F1 Assymetrics on Forester Sti, both are very good but the F1s are better IMO.

I think re050 are standard on the WRX and are good. re070 are standard for the STi and are awesome
