Having just bought my first 996 cabby I was looking through the threads to find the best fit child seats for the rears.
Along with a couple of other posts hidden in the other threads I can confirm that the £35 asda nania trio fits perfect (with the removal of the seat swab and back and a bit of work to tighten the belt) for my 10 month old
http://direct.asda.com/Nania-Teamtex-Trio-Car-Seat...
And for my four year old the britax adventure child seat fits perfect with no seat removal at all
http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Babies-R-Us/Travel-and-Pu...

As that one is on offer that makes £65 for both seats combined and means I can take both kids out...

hope this helps anyone...

Have you got the Asda one fitted rearward facing then? How far back can you get the front seat? I'm about to face the same situation.

For anyone with a 996 needing a Group 1 (9kg+) front facing seat, I can confirm that the Maxi Cosi Tobi fits beautifully in the back of my Turbo coupe. I tried just about every new seat I could get my hands on (couldn't find a M&P Protec) and this was the only one which was completely secure.

It's a little high, but still plenty of room for the boy until he's big enough for a Group 2 booster, where there is a lot more choice - and he gets a great view. There's still plenty of room in the front passenger seat, as it doesnt have to be all the way forward, and although it isn't clear in my photos, there's clearance in the back for the little chap's feet to overhang the front of the baby seat. You could get even more space by taking out the passenger side rear seat-back.

With a Quinny Zapp in the front boot, my Turbo S baby carrier is complete smile Wilton House here we come!

just to answer a question - I have the nania front facing., the seat goes a good way back but obviously it's not a range rover in the back so space is a little cramped.

I also have a maxi cosi tobi for another car and found in my cabby the fit wasn't as good for me..
but obvious from your piccys it's fit very nice in yours.

Also the cost is a factor, for something which my kids will go in maybe twice a month, the £35 seat seemed a safe a bet as the others when I considered how encased by the actual car the seats are anyway..

These threads are so useful! We have a 2 month old, which means a rear facing seat for the time being- this of course takes up a LOT more room. However, it IS possible to fit a MaxiCosi Cabriofix, with seat back and pad in place- I know because my wife and sister-in-law had to borrow my car some time ago. There will be very little room for the front passenger however. I'm looking at experimenting with seat back/pad removal to see how much additional space this gives. Glad to know the MaxiCosi Tobi fits well, as that is the next seat we are "inheriting" from my S-i-L.

There you go - it just shows how tricky the subject is smile If you have a cabrio, you are in luck, and there's a bargain option. As usual for me, the only option that worked in my coupe was the Rolls Royce solution! I admit I didn't try the Nania Trio, so if it's a good fit in a coupe as well that would be a great find.

I've got a 997 cab and a Tobi. There was very little room and it didn't feel secure against the seat. Coupe's have more room than the cabs. frown

In the end I went for the Porsche designed seat instead, which fits perfectly. smile

This thread has just reminded me that I should have posted a couple of months ago.

After trawling what seems like hundreds of websites trying to find a definitive answer on which seat would fit the back of my 996 Turbo I eventually lost the will to live and ordered a Britax Adventure Plus as detailed in the first post (I actually ordered 2, because at £30 each we might as well have one in each everyday car which saves swapping them around depending on who is doing nursery pickups etc).

When I received the seat I thought I'd give it a go in the 996 - to my complete amazement it dropped straight in and fitted really well. I tried removing the seat back and it fitted just as well, but gave a little more legroom for the little one so I have left the seat backs out. I also tried it be removing the seat base, but the seat did not fit with it removed, so this has been put back in.

So - another approval for the Britax Adventure and 996 combination.

What do people recommend for the 993?

I know that the Porsche Prince fits but these are changing hands for circa £200!

Agreed Maxi Cosi Tobi is a good fit in the back of 996 - I had the luck to come across a professional seat fitter who was a maxi cosi rep, when presented with my 996 C4S he went straight for the TOBI he was very happy with the fit so thats the one I got. He also had various other brands to try but stuck with the tobi. I removed the seat base but not the back.

I've been using the nania for a while now as per a previous thread it's the only seat I got to fit in my 996 Cab. I do remove both the seat and the back bit.
