The Volante was restricted to "only" 165mph until the 07my when it had the same full fat 186 mph as the coupe ( the roll over sensors were also upgraded in the same year biggrin) I'd talk to your local friendly A.M. Dealer or the Bamford team to see what's possible.

Speaking of pipes, there may be a market for an Aston designed one! Porsche have done it - http://www.porsche-design.com/europe/en/products/p...

Is this something that would require a remap of the ECU? I know on my old S4 it was derestricted via the ECU fast road map that I had.

What a load of tosh. Bamford Rose have removed the 165mph speed limiter from my 06 Volante; no issues WHATSOEVER as Aston themselves took it off the next year when they realised the roof was absolutely fine.

Give them a call. And get some manifolds while you're there, you'll find it reaches that speed an awful lot quicker...
