But then it is a 12 year old Pulsar quartz that cost me £55. I'm waiting for it to cease working so that I can buy a new watch. Might then go crazy and spend nearer £100 . 1 watch? does not compute.

When I was best man for my best mate's wedding last year he bought me a massive hipflask, and a matching 3 watch case. Best present ever...
If I need more, I have a couple of other carry cases. Most I've ever taken on holiday was 14, but I came back with 16. Stoopid tax-free Caribbean islands...

I'm on holiday at the moment, a week or so in Scotland, and have my Sinn, Rado and Longines with me. Been up here for 4 days and only worn the Sinn so far. Had it been a beach holiday I may have taken my G as well.

Analogue G-Shock for days, Visodate for evenings (if it's posh-ish).

Last holiday I took the Exp 2 and a G Shock. The G Shock got more attention.

Orange faced Monster on Stainless Steel bracelet.
Ideal holiday watch - wear it any wear, beach, restaurant etc.
Not worth a fortune so no need to panic about it etc...

Take both my Sub and Orange PO when going on holiday. It's the only time they get to see the sea and used properly.
I see it as a bit of a treat for them as the deepest they usually go in the UK is in the bath.

Perfect for diving and swimming, I barely took it off for 10 days. Depends where you are of course, if you've a £500+ watch on in certain areas, you might as well wear a sign like the girls at the Olympic opening ceremony had saying "Mug Me"! M.

Depends, last holiday I was in Barcelona and just took a G-shock. I wanted to avoid sticking out too much as a tourist, given the reputation Barclona has. Well I do also have an early 1970s gold Omega De Ville quartz but that hasn't worked for years. Seems it will cost at least £150 for a repair.

You're new to the watches section aren't you?

I think last time I went on holiday I took 5 watches with me, business trip I'll usually take 1 to 3 depending on how salubrious it is where I'm going.
