I really like the Superocean 44 and Superocean Heritage 46, hopefully making my mind up in the next few weeks. They look really well made, very robust just like my PO. I have a Tag Aquaracer which is a total dog, after 15 months of painful ownership the retailer has offered a full exchange to another make! Very happy about this as these Breitlings look great.

Come on guys, we need a "Bashed Up Watch" thread???
Once saw an American with a solid gold Rolex all beaten up, he was an oil rig worker, but it just looked so right!

I quite like the idea. I dunno why I prefer wabied watches. Maybe I'm getting old and it's the excitement of knowing that watch has been through thick and thin with its owner.

I think they make some attractive watches Have to say a lot of them are the size of dustbin lids but each to their own. You can get away with them if you have big wrists. Could someone tell me the correct pronounciation. I was told it should be pronounced Brate- ling, not Bright- ling. Is this correct?

It's a German name, so it is bright-ling.

Correct. In German, if you have a word which contains the letter e followed by i, you pronounce the i, meaning Breitling is pronounced Bright-ling.

The rule works the other way around, so where you have i followed by e, for example on the girl's name Lieselotte, you pronounce the e, so the name is pronounced as Leesalotta

By how much?

The Auto watch I'm wearing at this minute is running 40 seconds fast, that is since 1st August when is was set spot on.
That is 2.5 secs a day fast, which even in my pedantic mind is not even a problem.

Or was you just saying???
