As a grandfather, and at nearly 76, this case has moved me almost to tears. What a fiasco. Not looking good for the poor lass.

Really hope they find her but it's looking unlikely now.

My money is on a local gang member boyfriend - shes ran off to be with him and now is too scared to come out.

If she's found in either: the end of a drawer divan bed; or a minicab owner's brother's kebab shop, PH (and the Daily Mail) will go into meltdown

My money is on the divan: Sky News said: Tia Sharp police are liaising with officers in the Shannon Matthews fake kidnap case as bins are searched in south London.

Not good at all - I truely hope she is hiding out somewhere with friend / boyfriend. Sadly my money is on the "drug dealing step grandad, 37" based on his motive to want the full set.

How often does a total stranger remain in your memory for more than a few minutes, unless there is something about them that causes them to stand out?

Or she wants to run away with him...and is hiding.. but I would be reasonably confident that he is somehow involved..

I bet the police have discovered some other criminality he`s involved in, god knows what, during the searches of the house.

Thats what I was thinking if we can put aside the poor missing girl.# History of drug dealing - check Carrying a machete - check Does not exactly sound like a upstanding member of the community.

I feel sick reading about this.
A man goes out with a woman and a few years later starts seeing the woman's mum?
And we're paying these people to do this?
And the payment we give them is supposed to be a safety net?
And people defend this payment?
Bevan must be turning in his grave at the thought of what the welfare state has become.
