Hello I was hoping someone have an idea of the price of the following repairs. Bassically my friend has snapped her front subframe on a sidewalk limited edition and wants to know the costs to get it repaired or how much it would be worth as a whole in its current condition.

It's has wide arches with deepdish mini life's of ultra life's don't know which
Was in mint condition with about 40000 miles

If the subframe is snapped and the sump gone, then i would say anywhere from 750-2000 to fix. If it is in very good condition (doubtful tbh, rust is a minis best friend) In its current condition probably worth 1500-3000.

Thats my thoughts only.

if its whacked a kerb low enought to break the frame and smash the box, i would be having a good look at the toe-board and the front floors - chances are its rammed the frame back into the shell and killed it.

the last car i saw that had done this looked perfect from the outside (bar the bent front bumper and lower front panel. however neither door would open, once the interior has removed the floor and bulkhead was all kinked and the car was written off

brother in law had a similar thing, slid on something into a curb. the shell looked fine until you looked underneath or tried to open a door.....

Think hard before you send another one of these brilliant cars to the scrapper. If you can't get it fixed, sell it to an enthusiast on one of the Mini forums. They can probably breathe new life into it. Even if it is beyond repair, the parts can be used to keep another car alive rather than turned into a new fridge!
