Im sure most of you in the know on this forum will be familiar with this product but I have just used it for the first time and I have to say I am simply staggered with the results.
Ive always been a 'keen' car cleaner and have tried many wheel cleaners by well known names in the past but nothing compares to this stuff.

Having recently bought myself a mint nissan GTR,the front wheels while completely unmarked had quite a bit of baked on brake dust between the spokes which nothing else has had a hope of shifting.I was begining to think the only way to get rid would be to refurb the wheels until I was told to give Iron x a go.

Within about half an hour I had all 4 wheels absolutely spotless.Amazing stuff,if you haven't tried it give it a go.You wont be dissapointed.

Does it suit only specific surfaces? Could I apply it on any type of alloy wheels?

Its PH neutral and can be applied on any kind of wheel.Ive had a look at a few vids on youtube and it is even used for spraying onto a cars bodywork to remove engrained contaminants the kind of which claying would remove......think i'l stick to using it on the wheels only though!

It's good stuff, as are many of the alternative brands.

It is safe to use on the bodywork, and recommended to do so. Sometimes the amount of ferrous contamination there is in the paintwork can be surprising, even after claying.

These products aren't wheel cleaners. They are for removing iron fallout.
Do use them on them on bodywork too!

Paste or liquid?

Actually, there seems to be quite a range of Iron X products: click.

The paste is better for spot applying really troublesome areas. The original liquid form would be the one to use prior to claying and polishing. The soap gel is mild, more like a shampoo for more regular use to keep the car free of iron in between claying/polishing sessions.
