Agreed. That is very nice indeed. It is indeed a modified SKX007 with a plain bevelled bezel, as correctly identified. It also has a different hand set, contrasting day and date wheels and a lovely AR coted domed sapphire crystal.

More or less. The movement's from one of those (and the case is the same), but this was originally a world timer, hence the 24 hour chapter ring.

You can certainly make one from the watch linked to on the Creation site (I've a black one which was).

That's a great looking watch. Was the face a Yobokies or A. N. other, and did you do the work yourself? The movement's from one of those (and the case is the same), but this was originally a world timer, hence the 24 hour chapter ring.

I did do the mods myself - It's fiddly work, but not difficult if you're patient.
It's worth getting some hand pullers, a case opener (the squishy ball type works well) and a 5x loup from eBay, but won't cost a lot.

The dial came from Dagaz (I think it's the same as the Yobokies one though) and the hands from an eBay seller in the Phillipines.

Anyone have a Solar powered Seiko?
Was browsing Creation last night and quite like the look of this as a daily beater..

I've got a Solar Flightmaster which I've had for about a year. It has similar complications to that one but I don't know if it shares the movement. It's been fine, though I think it'll be more useful to get feedback from someone with an older solar to find out about cell replacement. They're bound to need doing at some point when they no longer hold charge.
Despite not seeing much wrist time and sitting in a dark corner of my house, mine hasn't ever gone into low-power mode (ticking every 2 seconds) so they don't seem to require much light to charge.

Good to know, sunlight is one thing I have in abundance!Despite not seeing much wrist time and sitting in a dark corner of my house, mine hasn't ever gone into low-power mode (ticking every 2 seconds) so they don't seem to require much light to charge.
I bought that exact Seiko from Creation and it's a great daily beater which keeps good time despite being left in a drawer up to several weeks on end. I think they also have a quartz battery as a back up to the solar cell. The main watch second hand ticks whereas the stop watch second hand sweeps.
The only criticism is the gimmicky compass dial which constantly moves around the clock face as the action is quite loose.
And the strap takes a lot of breaking in.
Excellent VFM from creation though.

Finally got round to getting the SKX007 modded:
Untitled by Ethel of Buzzez, on Flickr
Oyster strap from WJean, owl eye hands + new second hand from Dagaz and fitted by Rob at Moster Watches in NL.
And I've fitted my other modded Seiko (done by Harold - Yobokies) with a shark mesh strap:

Not 100% sure about that one on a Mesh - may need to get a Monster and fit it to that instead
