After years of looking for a good classic investment car, I have gone for this Chim! http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2012...With having done only 12,000 miles from new with 2 owners - 1 being the fathers and the 2nd being the son. It is in pretty much immaculate condition. Suffice to say, I'm rather chuffed at the idea of getting the Cerb parked up next to the Chim upon picking the car up tomorrow!

Thanks, I owned a red Chim for a few years a little while ago and regretted it as soon as I sold it. Does anyone know what are the best products for leather restoration. The only niggle with this car is that the seats are slightly creased and could do with 'freshening' up. These guys seem pretty good as far as I can tell, if a little pricey: http://www.liquidleather.com/car-shop.html

I've used liquid leather before, not that pricey compared to some of the stuff! bowl of hot water and a nail brush, give it a good scrub with the cleaner, let it stand for a couple of mins, another good scrub, dry off and apply the conditioner. lovely stuff and a lovely smell!

So for the 2 is no cheaper (I got the 2 LL products for £11 from a local supplier) than the liquid leather stuff? I tried the AG cleaner once and wasn't overly impressed.
There is always the atguement its all pointless by many but my leather has always felt and looked much better after the LL stuff.

It does look a like lot of money but if it`s mint don`t worry ..Ive seen 2000 450`s with rotten chassis so enjoy it .I have the early chim think they look much better.. Nothing going to be worn out at 1200 miles just check bushes they may or cracked from standing ,not being used .. Now get some miles on the car !

The bloke has just purchased the car and is chuffed with it and felt like he wanted to share it with others. Well done on the purchase, looks like a lovely example from the pics.

Nice one Milktray i hate it when this happens ,not a good start.... You have the desired very special 4.3 free reving engine ,it may even be a big valve which are 270hp "a real 270hp" quicker than the 5l engines ,well except mine Sounds like there`s a bit of jelousy in the air with silly comments like that ! This is a 430 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtkDpQuCUvI
