Good on them for making it but...

1. It's not a looker
2. It's going to be a right handful
3. I'd take a Morgan Aero instead

edit 2.5 This is more of an exercise in headline numbers and I bet a stock 7 with 200 less HP would be more fun smile

Excellent video report in English about the GTO, the thing can go from 0 to 200km/h in just 8.6 sec

it has a lot gimmicks but still weights only 695kg and that with 380hp (more is also posible)

but look the video out and listen what that journalist has to say about it, he first drives the more prototype car and later the 'better' client versions.

Donkervoort D8 GTO breaks lap record Bilster Berg Drive Resort

The introduction of the Donkervoort D8 GTO promised a new generation of ultra-light, high-tech sports cars for the ultimate driving experience and performance to match. Acceleration from 0‑100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, a total weight of just 695 kg and the use of one of the most competitive engines in the Audi (quattro) line-up combine to mean one thing: top performance. Last weekend Donkervoort made good on this promise: the D8 GTO broke the lap record at the German Bilster Berg circuit. The 380 hp Performance version set the new record for street-legal production cars at 1 minute 46.12 seconds.

1. I like it, though I'm more interested in proportions than details.
2. Why?
3. Morgan Aero seems great too, but they are not really competitors.
