Well I checked and there's no difference in the punching pattern between the Bedale and Burford boot.
The Bedale has metal hooks for the laces and rubber soles and the Burford has eyelets all the way up and a leather sole but the patterns the same.

I had a pair of Herring Burlington derby shoes built for Herrings by Barkers - a few years old now. Took them on holiday with me last week and two days they got damp while out, and in conjunction with some gravel have chewed up the sole of the right hand shoe. I probably won't have them resoled, even though they are comfortable they have seen a lot of work and the uppers are showing it now.
I'm staying near Coleraine at the moment, so popped into town yesterday morning and found a large shoe shop. Found a pair of Barker Epping, classified as seconds due to a bit of funny colouring on the vamp of one shoe (a good polish has improved this incredibly) for £79,99 - VERY happy with that! And basically the same shoe as the Herring Burlington.

Are you sure those are bedales, bedales dont have clips but also have eyelets all the way up. They look more like Charles Tyrwhitt thirlmeres. Perhaps loake have changed the design but googling the bedale, I can't see any photos with clips instead of eyelets. Mine have eyelets all the way up also.

My new shoes "SQUELCH" - that's my best description. Bought pair of Loakes and the first 2 times of wearing went without a hitch, put them on this morning and both shoes are making a noticeably loud squelching noise when I walk.
Any hints or tips on how to resolve the issue?

Funny boy!Seriously though, I have them planed as part of a summer fall type collection, with nice dirty Denim jeans, or even stone washed chinos too, I think that's a good wardrobe mix!
Of course other will shout total foul, but who cares, I love them!
