Yes, nice shoes.Make sure you get some cedar wood shoe trees to keep them in shape and dry.
I thoroughly recommend the shoe trees from Charles Tyrwhitt, which you can also buy from Amazon. I'd also suggest some product from Saphir to keep them in top condition.
I may have just spent most of your spare £90!

I feared someone might do that! Added the tree to my basket (£20 seems pretty cheap to be fair!), which saphir cream/polish/wax or combination thereof would you recommend? I am at your mercy!Make sure you get some cedar wood shoe trees to keep them in shape and dry.

Couple of sizes left if any of you have little feet:

Can't wait, they look great! The black is still £275 at the moment or I'd buy a pair. I'm going to be scared of walking outdoors in them though, how will the soles cope with getting wet? Not planning on jumping in puddles but you know how British weather can be...
Gonna rotate these with my remaining pair of rubbish Dunes until I can expand my collection.

It's difficult to match a cream colour to those shoes as the toes are burnished with a darker colour.
It might be easier to go for some neutral cream and/or wax for general care. I have some shoes of a similar shade and I find cognac colour is quite a good match. (Medium brown cream is fairly dark)
If you only want one product though, you could go for Saphir Renovateur which can give a nice shine while also conditioning.

If they get wet, don't try and dry them on radiators etc, they need to dry at normal room temp. Shoe trees or stuff with newspaper and lay on their sides so the leather soles dry evenly. I seem to guess wrong everyday with the weather at the moment, Yesterday I wore some Grensons with commando soles as I was expecting rain that never came. Today I wore some leather soled loakes and it threw it down half an hour before I went out for lunch. Didn't look particularly elegant as I skated along the cobbles close to work! Hmm, if they got wet on the way to work I'd be stuck wearing them annoyingly, can't wander around in socks. Will have to check the forecasts and choose my shoes carefully I suppose.
Was in the churches store in Cheshire Oaks yesterday and regret turning down a pair of seconds for about £180 if I remember rightly, couldn't find the 'mistake' anywhere as others have said on this thread.
Thanks for all the responses! I'll report back what I buy

I've now 'invested' in a pair of Cheaney Ewans which look lovely, and fell within my £150 budget surprisingly, found an absolute bargain on Jones Bootmaker website, they seem to be at least £200 elsewhere. This is my first foray into 'proper' shoes, thanks to you lot, and very excited!
Looking to spend another £100ish on a black pair of oxfords or derbys, preferably on amazon as I have £90 credit to use, feel free to make suggestions!
I bought a pair of these in the Jones sale for £118 a month or so back. I'd say what a fantastic bargain they are, were it not for the fact that I still haven't worn them!Looking to spend another £100ish on a black pair of oxfords or derbys, preferably on amazon as I have £90 credit to use, feel free to make suggestions!

At the time, the Cheaney shop close to where I work was still selling them at £275.
I doubt you'll find any black Cheaneys at the £100 mark, but the Austin Reed sale sometimes has some good value offers on decent shoes (inc. Cheaney). Check out Herring Shoes too - I've had some good deals from them in the past.

Bigger than expected but luckily I ordered both 9.5 and 10s, sending the 10s back.
An unbelievable bargain, they're exquisite! Thanks for the heads up re: Austin, didn't think they stocked high end shoes.
I'm already looking at more! What have I started?

It's a slippery slope though. I've gathered about 10 pairs of decent shoes since I discovered them last summer.

When you're showing off the same pair of trainers time and time again, would you at least line up the stripes on the shoes and the box please? Thank you.
At least the boxes look more interesting than a pair of shoes you'd wear to a funeral or job interview Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
