Definitely worth sending back for a resole then imho.
You might even consider going with a danite type sole, I have had a few customers do this with older pairs, now the uppers are really soft they feel so much nicer to wear.
Plus coming up to winter a bit less to think about too regarding the weather.
Thanks - will do! Is that (danite) something Barker themselves offer? You might even consider going with a danite type sole, I have had a few customers do this with older pairs, now the uppers are really soft they feel so much nicer to wear.

Ooh, they're nice. I'm a big fan of the Samba Super. Are those a retailer exclusive design? Kind of neat to see the suede tongue and no leather on the inside of the heel tab. I've nothing to update this thread with, though recently I've been falling back to a pair of Adidas Milanos I have. Great looking trainer.Gents I need some new work shoes and after recommendations. All my current shoes are loake. Popped into John Lewis yesterday and they had an awful range of loake and barker.
Need to be black preferably an Oxford and no brogueing (sp?) budget is upto £200 my biggest issue is I'm maxed out this month so ideally needs to be an online retailer.

How does the vendor being an online retailer help you?Need to be black preferably an Oxford and no brogueing (sp?) budget is upto £200 my biggest issue is I'm maxed out this month so ideally needs to be an online retailer.

Ah I see, you're flat out. Maxed out suggests that you have no available credit left with which to buy your shoes.
Ah no definitely have the money just very lacking in time and in need of shoes, personally I like to try shoes on but I think I'm just going to have to order a few different shoes at the same time and go for the best fit. ecsrobin said:

Just picked up a pair of these in sapphire velvet.
Love 'em!
there's not many men that could get away with that Dom, but in your line of work, maybe!! Love 'em!
I also got some blue suede tassel loafers this Summer!
I have, and let me tell you those shoes were made for him.

In person he is quite aristocratic. Smoking jacket, those slippers and a greyhound at his feet.
