You have the perfect size feet to get discounted shoes at any outlet shops such as Bicester Village.

Size 13 has to be the worst size. It's not big enough for the freak shops and 12 seems to be the cut-off for normal places.

Is Bicester village the same sort of thing as Cheshire Oaks?

Hey guys. Sounds like a few of you know a thing or two about shoes. I'm getting married at the end of this month and have bought a dark blue suit, which will be teamed with a red tie. I need some shoes now but don't really know what to get, except to say I think I want to go brown (tan or darker for instance) and they can't be to pointy or have to much of a heel cos I got big feet and am tall.

Budget...under £200. Any suggestions would be great.
We might need to start a shoe advice thread!

Back to me...what kind of brands do you guys think I should be looking at re the above?

For £200 RRP you are looking at entry level "quality" shoe brands like Loake and Barker.

If you can get to Northampton, you can tour the factory shops and definately get some nice imperfects for that price. There, you could widen your search to Church's and Crockett & Jones.

ETA: Some shops like Herring Shoes and Charles Tyrwhitt sell some own-brand models which are made by Loake or Barker. The descriptions on the websites usually let you know if they were made in the UK or not. (UK is usually Northampton)

A bit of advice to me today please.

I have a pair of the Ted Baker Brogues with what I would call perforated leather. Is there a specific product I should be using to care for the leather?

Guys, looking for a bit of help please. I need a pair of decent shoes as the ones I have are pretty naff tbh, and not really good enough for turning up at clients etc.

I was once told they brown shoes are a no no unless wearing something like a brown belt (black trousers), and this was when I wore brown shoes.

Budget is around £100-£150. I aren't keen on Monks so looking for something with laces I imagine. If anyone can make any recommendations or suggestions then I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks.

I can also recommend Meermin https://www.meermin.es/index.php?idioma=eng& as a couple of colleagues recently bought from there and they're nice quality shoes. The non-hand welted range are EUR 160 which works out at about £125 + shipping. They do matching belts too.

Shaw Tarse, thanks for the offer, I may just take you up on that!

Now to decide on the colour.........

As Loafers go, they're awful. Look like they're from Matalan. Sorry smile

Not really my thing. I prefer the classic Gucci loafer. I just couldn't make up my mind if they are "too much" in brown alligator.

Tassels not gold bars. Gold bars are from the 90s, and even then.
