I have short legs and the jeans are 'short'. The first time any part of me has appeared on here, and it is literally my feet and ankles, and I get pulled apart.

I've worn jogging bottoms for Christmas dinner for many years, I got the idea from my dad. It feels a bit weird to wear a shirt and jogging bottoms together, but it certainly helps you pack away a few extra chipolatas biggrin

Newest purchase possibly the worst looking shoe after Crocs

But they are a practical choice. Really good for post half/post marathon recovery. Never get warn apart from that.

But damn, they really are comfortable.

For info Stu, this is the photo that got the resident Trinny & Susanna's all excited about my Dad jeans:

Don't listen to them. Skinny jeans are the work of a cretin.

I'm firmly of the opinion jeans should cover the laces, and ankles should never be seen. Hence I usually wear boots or a slight bootcut with trainers. Not shapeless dad efforts but not ridiculous One Direction style either. There's nothing worse than someone over 30 or overweight trying to pull off a teenage style unsuccessfully.

My niece has decided she want's a pair of white Converse for her birthday. Is it me or are they basically the Dunlop plimsolls we used to wear for PE 30 years ago but at 10 times the price?

I always thought the M&S marking was just for winter tyres, but I should now have plenty of plenty of grip on my feet for the winter

Just tried a pair of these on but felt a bit like moon boots. I know loads of people swear by them though.

Opted for these instead...

Finally got to give the Salomons a proper test at the weekend. Holy crap, so much more grip than my old New Balance.

Oh I don't know, maybe someone who still dresses in jeans like they are going to a rave in 1990?

This is probably our best selling Jean to the 'older' gent at the moment....

Wearing a bootcut or wide straight leg jean with anything other than a chunky boot or trainer is just an awful look.

I have got a clothes shop in Norfolk.

But it is amazing how quickly the older guys, and I am talking guys in their 60 and 70s etc. have bought into the neater denim, just looks so much better when dressed up as well.

We actually sell the Replay Anbass better than any other jean at the moment, which is very slim, but it is not fitted like a jegging. That is the thing, there is a massive difference between a tailored slim jean that is cut to look smart compared with a supper skinny jean that is meant to look....well, like it is painted on.

The other jean we sell well is a German jean from a company called Bruhl, I will try and find a picture of that, we sell that a lot for guys who want to wear it with a jacket and smart shoes.

But you have to try them all on and find one that you feel good in, no point buying something you feel self conscious in.

If I have to be smart, I think Armani J06 or Edwins (can't remember the style name/number) are the best for me in dark colours but not proper selvedge denim, as that bleeds onto everything, even if you duct tape the insides of them!

Christ, I haven't bought a pair of those since I was about 18. Evisu turn ups with Nike TN's or Air Force One's laugh
