Passat B7 Boot lock issue

Hi all

I had my new sport 170 estate delivered on Friday and it appears to have an issue. The boot won't open using the button on the key or on the drivers door? Works fine using the handle on the boot itself. Any one have any ideas? Is Tame Tech still active here to shed light?

I have just purchased a 2nd hand B7 estate as well & guess what it has exactly the same issue . The middle button on the keyfob will unlock the boot but will not actually open it. The pull switch on the floor seems to do nothing.

I am sure there used to be some kind of valet switch in the older passat models where you could switch on/off this feature ?

The middle button on the B7 Passat keyfob only unlocks the boot it doesn't lift it at all, the pull switch on the base of the drivers door only does the same - unlike my previous vRS which used to pop up alittle when unlocked.
