Stradale 19 inch wheels and the tricolour stripes would be something I would literally LOVE to do, but unless some wheels come up cheap I wouldnt do it as there would need to be a financial benefit to me something which is unusual with modifying.

With regards to thirst I am not sure next tank I will record the mileage and work it out but with the Tubi exhaust sounds like its chucking some serious fuel out the back with some of the pops and burbles on the over run!
Don't go with 19's, 18's are a lot better due to unsprung weight. This is my mates Spider on 18's.

Wow...never thought I would like a white Ferrari but I am liking this! Has some of the 430 lines as well...

Hats off to you for achieving this at such a young age. It does seem to me a lot of people may be jealous, but I'm genuinely happy for you - and would do exactly the same given the chance!

Kudos to you

Been extremely busy and have not had anytime to do anything with the car apart from driving it really. I should have some photos somewhere of a few road trips have had with mates. Its having new rear tyres fitted tomorrow which are not as expensive as I thought they would be! £440 the pair... reasonable for a Ferrari I think.

Update in terms of driving I have been surprised with how useable it is, I use it every day whether it be going to work, the gym, weekends away. One update which I am not to happy to report was around a month ago it had paint thrown over it outside my parents house. Luckily it was just a water based kids type paint and was noticed quickly enough to wash off. Police think its just some jealous tt but it has worried me about leaving it parked outside on the road all the time.

Another reason for not updating is after the paint thing its worried me about drawing any attention to myself and there are far too many haters on pistonheads as seen from the majority of my threads people seem to find it hard to concentrate on my cars which is what the section is supposed to be about.

Surely an outdoor car cover can't be that expensive? To be fair, you're going to draw some attention to yourself with the types of cars you've owned in the last 18 months, whether you intend to or not. At least covering it up overnight if you're not garaging it would do something to prevent any damage/risk of this happening again.

Sorry to hear about the paint incident! frown Horrible to see people react that way, i don't understand it myself i'd just smile and admire your achievments.

Does having the car in the garage increase the insurance to make it less affordable / profitable with the extra outgoings?

OP,

Congratulations on why you have achieved so far.......

When do you plan on selling the car or is it 'always' for sale ?

Do you have a specific type of car in mind for your next buy ? Or does it just depend on what comes along at the right price ?

Just saw the newspaper article , how does a £20k 996 turbo increase in value by £10k in 2 months ????? Did you just buy at a very very good price or spend £££'s on it yourself ?

Oh and how much you selling the Ferrari for ? Fancy a V8 Vantage Roadster in part-ex smile

What a tool!!

Sorry to hear about the damage; it was the abuse and constant worry that made me sell my 360, in the end it detracted more from the ownership that the pleasure it gave me....it's a shame we have to live amongst the jealous wkers and are almost made to feel guilty because we own something nice!

My cars are "always" for sale I have no rush to sell them so usually advertise them around a month after purchasing.

Regarding the 996 turbo article, not sure where that figure came from the journalist on the story "added" alot to the story. I didnt make an awful lot on the Turbo in fact it was probably one of my worst profits.

Regarding the Sale of the Ferrari feel free to PM me as your not allowed to discuss sale details on the forums smile

Genuinely sorry to hear this. Being a car enthusiast myself, this sort of thing sickens me. It doesn't matter who you, or what car you have, nobody deserves this. People who do this are pure scum.

Can you not garage it overnight?

I was warned before buying it that it would happen... alot of people said if your going to buy a ferrari to get one in a less flashy colour ie silver/black but for me it had to be Rosso Corsa! Not been spat at yet but many other Ferrari owners seem to have experience of this.

Its quite a hefty amount more to insure it in the garage plus it wouldn't fit unfortunately. I have a Ferrari cover with the car but I dont think its suitable for outdoor use, I have considered an outdoor cover but I use the car so often that it would not be very practical to keep putting it on and removing it.

It was an awful feeling when my mum rang to say there was paint all over the car... I was expecting the worse and rushed home as quick as I could, shockingly it happened in broad day light (between 9am-11am) I have CCTV pointing on the car now but hopefully I wont need it.

I can't wait to get my own place next year hopefully with a double garage so the car will be garaged then if I still have it.

As a car enthusiast myself I feel your pain. I've been on the receiving end too so I can feel yours pain - the worse I got was being keyed to the metal... This was right on my own drive too!

CCTV is definitely a good idea. For your case I would really recommend getting a decent camera too so the evidence can be used by the police if needed be.

Good on you OP for doing so well to have a Ferrari at such a young age. Self made too smile

I am amazed how a car like this can bring such poor comments about an owner from people on a car enthusiast forum, just because of the Ferrari.

Seriously though, people actually spit at your cars just because you own a Ferrari? This country holds some disgusting human beings!!!!furious
