The car is a 2000 (i think) S500L with 84K (I’ll be inspecting the service book/receipts/MOT's to make sure it’s all genuine).

Apart from all the normal stuff one would expect to check, the only other things i know to look for on these are:

Signs of dampness in passenger foot well and electrical issues, caused by blocked drainage tubes from the bulkhead.

Rust - In a myriad of places.

But is there anything else i should be hunting for..... Do these have ABC and how can you tell if there is an issue? At 84.000 miles are there any major jobs that should have been done via the service schedule or preventatively?

Any advice, so that I can help the lad avoid a pup, would be good.... Of course it could be a really nice car. But call me cynical, when I see a car that is cheap for what it is, I never see bargain, I always see 'cheap for a reason' and at £2999 for this W-Reg Metallic black S500L with low miles and lots of spec, I think it's cheap?

Thanks

Pentoman

How did the viewing go?
I think if the car has ABC it will have a sport button high up on the dash which has two stages of added sportiness.
