...Eat so little?

I've been gradually loosing some excess weight as I figured its about damn time I did. Over the past three months I've lost 2 stone and my loss has all of a sudden plateaued. I figured I should shake up my diet a bit more to get things moving again as I've been told can sometimes work.

However... after looking around at what other people eat and trying to eat less myself I've come to the conclusion that if I eat as little as some people I feel sick! I don't know how someone can eat so little or even skip meals and not feel absolutely starving.

Is it purely down to just how people are, their metabolism, etc? I know I need to eat less (I think) sometimes and I'm really trying, but I just end up so hungry.

Just one of those things.

I can skip meals without giving it a second thought if I'm happily occupied doing something else whereas my wife turns into a ravenous she-beast if lunch/dinner is an hour late. Conversely I can trough my way through takeways/cakes etc... as and when I feel like it and my weight doesn't really fluctuate.

Sorry smile

What you eat is very important. On a low-carb diet you may need to consciously remember to eat.

Haha, i ate a can of tuna for lunch once... (this story gets better i swear)... and I was full for the rest of the afternoon.

I had a Subway the next day, and I'd have killed my best friend for a bag of crisps, or muffin, or cookie, or anything like that winthin 20 minutes of finishing a foot-f*cking-long sandwich.

Thankfully, the muffins were going cheap in the work canteen so all my mates are alive and well.

The point is (this story didnt really get much better afterall) it really highlighted the whole GI thing - eat well and not be hungry, or eat sh*te and be not only hungry again, but craving something sweeter next time around...

... and is how fat people are born ; )

Hahaha I've been there. I've had the munchie days where nothing seems to be enough.

I keep meaning to drink more water too... but simply forget... I'm hoping doing that will help.

I'm trying to lose a bit of weight (well just started this week), and rather than my normal lunch of massive sarnies, I'm having soup and trying to avoid bread as much as possible throughout the day, and finding myself to be far more productive of an afternoon, where as before i'd be half asleep by now.

Not sure if i've really added anything to this topic, but i thought i'd share smile
