My achilles is sore, it's most noticeable first thing in the morning or if I've been resting for a while.
I don't do any exercise as such other than walking the dog so I'm pretty sure it's not been pulled or over stretched.
So what's causing it to be sore and more importantly what's the cure?

Persistence pays off eh?

Stretch it, massage it, rub some voltarol cream on it.

Do the same with your achilles. smile

I had this in the last few days. I go to the gym but don't do much on lower legs so didn't think I had pulled it. What fixed it for me was going to a hot tub (I'm on holiday at the moment hence there was one to hand) sitting on the side and getting a reasonably powerful jet aimed in the middle of my calf - probably worth a try?

There's been a number of threads on this but Google Alfredson's eccentric protocol for Achilles Tendinopathy, should bring up some info which may help.
